2009: Started all 18 regular season games, the West Final and Grey cup game at quarterback…completed 16 of 27 passes for 257 yards and three touchdowns in week 5…completed 35 of 45 passes for 427 yards and two touchdowns in week 15…completed 24 of 36 passes for 296 yards and two touchdowns in week 18…completed 18 of 25 passes for 204 yards and three touchdowns in West Final…finished the regular season completing 339 of 561 pass attempts for 4,438 yards and 24 touchdowns…also had 501 rushing yards and three touchdowns…was named the CFL West Division all-star quarterback…was the Riders nominee as Most Outstanding Player…was named the Wireless Age Most Popular Roughrider as voted on by the fans.

2008: Dressed in 15 regular season games and West Semi-Final…started four games at quarterback…completed 23 of 32 passes for two touchdowns in week 3…completed 24 of 34 passes for three touchdowns in week 4…finished the regular season completing 77 of 129 passes for 1,122 yards and seven touchdowns…also had 27 rushes for 204 yards and a touchdown.

CAREER: Dressed in all 18 regular season games as third-string quarterback…also dressed in both playoff games and Grey Cup game…dressed in eight regular season games as backup quarterback in 2006…spent remainder of season on developmental roster…made CFL and Rider debut in week 10…completed one pass for 14 yards in week 10…also had one rush for 20 yards…attended training camp with Baltimore Ravens in 2005…spent time on Ravens practice roster, but was released during season.

COLLEGE: Spent four years at North Carolina…finished his college career with school records for career completion percentage (.605), career touchdowns (68), career passing yards (8,755), total career offence (9,630 yards), and career completions (701)…is the only player in UNC history to throw for more than 8,000 yards, and the only player in school history with more than 9,000 yards of total offence. 

PERSONAL: Darian spends the off-season in Jacksonville, Florida with his brother Justin who plays for the NFL’s Jacksonville Jacquars…He enjoys travelling, listening to music and playing X-Box.
